The offshore industry is in transition

With the offshore industry in transition towards a sustainable future it is more important than ever to streamline design for fabrication. Faster offshore structures design and detailing, accurate drawings and constructible models lets you go directly to model-based fabrication.

The Johan Sverdrup P2 project is the largest project in our company’s history and Tekla Structures will play a key role in our success by enabling our teams to create constructible, data-rich models with a high level of development, eliminate manual work and carry out structural design and detailing more efficiently and productively”

Tekla Structures

Tekla Structures’ highly detailed models give offshore builders the ability to oversee the whole project from initial concept studies, including 4D visualization, to the design of structures, safety systems and sustainability, commissioning and modifications.

Interoperability

Model integration with offshore industry standard packages, such as PDS, PDMS, Microstation, and others. Industry standard file formats supported by Tekla Structures are IFC, CIS/2, DWG, DXF and DGN. Publish models to the web or to Trimble Connect for enhanced project collaboration and communication.

Transforming the Construction of North Sea Oil Platforms

Norwegian offshore constructor Aibel has put Tekla software at the heart of its work designing and manufacturing oil platforms. Aibel’s ongoing project for the massive Johan Sverdrup field is a story that moves from the tropical shipyards of Thailand to the stormy waters of the North Sea - paving the way for Aibel’s future projects beyond oil & gas…
